Watch Peter Gallagher (Titanic 1996) with Emmy award-winning actress Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife) as they team up for this soul-stirring tale about second chances.
The talented creative team has put together a ‘heartfelt portrait of romance’ (New York Times), helmed by Tony Award-winning director Susan Stroman, and produced by Daryl Roth.
Apart from the stellar cast, the play also features two adorable rescue dogs, Dulcé and Charlie, who play Ephron’s pups Honey and Charlotte.

Under the direction of Susan Stroman, (The Producers, Crazy for You) the production brings Delia Ephron’s real-life rom-com to life on stage. Emmy Award-winner Julianna Margulies brings her formidable talent to the role of Delia, capturing both her vulnerability and indomitable spirit. Peter Gallagher, a Broadway veteran and screen star, provides the perfect foil for Delia's unexpected love interest, and their chemistry is palpable. While the set seamlessly moves between Delia’s cozy NYC apartment and cold hospital corridors, the original music is a nod to classic film scores from the Ephron sisters’ screenwriting legacy.

Storyline

At 72, acclaimed writer Delia thought her days of romance were long behind her. Widowed and still mourning the loss of her sister Nora, she had resigned herself to a life of quiet solitude. But a seemingly ordinary feature in the New York Times reconnected her with a man from the past, setting an unexpected chapter in motion. As Delia cautiously opens her heart to the possibility of new love, she's blindsided by a shocking diagnosis. Suddenly, she finds herself navigating the tenderness of a blossoming relationship while fighting for her very survival. As she faces her mortality head-on, she discovers a reserve of strength she has never fully accessed and finds joy in the most unexpected places. Her story is a reminder that it's never too late for love.

The James Earl Jones Theatre, originally the Cort Theatre, was part of theatrical operator John Cort’s business move to expand in the east. Despite initial skepticism, the theater became known as a "lucky" venue with blockbuster hits like 'Peg o' My Heart' running for several hundred days.
